lol hes an 87 TOPPS, this is why i like mlb's content more they dont give scrubs 99's except for potm, but dude was a dawg in colledge you could make a pretty sick all time USC team probably
Would you have rather him be a 99 OVR combine card? Me either. EA has some weird obsession with guys like this but I suppose it's better than the mundane. One day EA will release a 95+ Steve Emtman or Trev Alberts. I feel it. LOL
Ah! LOL. Prob a better example than either of mine bec he actually had one or two decent seasons. I can see where some people (EA) would actually believe he was good.
Taylor Mays is the original franchise sleeper safety to build. 6’4 had all the size and tools. When MUT started giving him Combine cards it was crazy. Then ... he disappeared. UNTIL NOW. Uh. IRL.. not so good. Mut/Franchise legend ? Yup
First of all wow I’m beyond impressed by how this card plays. I use 4-5 safety’s on most plays (run zone heavy 3-4) using Ed Reed and Megatron both fully powered up at the 2 corners and Sean Taylor and Taylor Mays at my 2 saftey spots when I’m in my base 3-4 and in 3-4 even I run the SS at LB sub package and use him at ROLB as my user w Tillman at SS Sean T at FS Megatron and Ed Reed at CB. Loving the 3-4 even since this works great against the run and will also shut down most passing schemes as well with minimal presnap adjustments. When in any formation w/5+ DBs (nickle dime dollar etc) I’m using megatron and mays as my sub LBs w S.Taylor as my slot corner reed and Tillman at the saftey spots. With this year being so run heavy and their zone coverage skills being top tier you don’t loose much of anything in coverage if you’re not a man guy and since their blockshed blows any and every CB out of the water the trade off wis beyond worth it. Best user card I’ve played with and Ive used fully powered up Sean T Megatron Ed Reed and Tillman as well. Between his height jumping catching and run after the catch abilities he’s perfect for baiting people into thinking someone is open then jumping the route and burning them down the sideline plus has good enough strength power moves and block shed that getting to the ballcarrier and blowing him up often causing a fumble is no problem either. Dude is an absolute savage no matter how you use him. Even if you like to user someone else or even if you decided to play him as your slot corer snd exclusively blitz him he’d still be worth it. Pro tip tho be patient do the set check periodically if one of the cards is over priced. Took me 3 days but got his set done for sub 140k and it comes w the power up instead of spending on that as well. This card plays like I thought he would leaving USC. I’m a bucs fan so not like he does anything for my theme team dude is just that nice only shortcomming being that if you’re running a man heavy defensive scheme he’s a liability but if he’s blitzing or you’re controlling him can’t say anything bad about this dude is a savage.
Just got him yesterday for only 15,000.. put Reinforcement as his x-factor.. Enforcer, Out My Way, and Zoned Out.. use him as sub lb and played two games with him.. pretty solid for me because this is a run heavy game and caused my opponent’s 99 Walter Payton to fumble twice.. not bad
*This is from a cpu standpoint. I've played with 97 Polamalu, 94 Reed, and 94 H.Smith. Mays is the best on ground strong safety in the game. However, i have the last tier for Run Stuff. So, if you have Run Stuff chemistry defense, Mays is the best open field player by far. He hit sticks and causes fumbles occasionally even on elite backs and always takes the right angles. I got him alongside 97 Dawkins and he plays more physical than him.
Looks insane but I can't being myself to get him. Compares waaay too much to Tillman. Basically just a taller more physical version, outside of that close to identical.
That's true. But I've had Derwin as my backup since Gauntlet 1, once he receives his next upgrade to the PU he should be fairly comparable at the same height.
I wish the player pages would show what team Chems are available. Also congrats to EA on a damn good day.
Dude was ass in the league
lol hes an 87 TOPPS, this is why i like mlb's content more they dont give scrubs 99's except for potm, but dude was a dawg in colledge you could make a pretty sick all time USC team probably
87 is generous. He's a combine card at most

Lol, this guy always get really good cards, he was a below average player at best!
Best safety in the game now for sure.
No way Adams is still better
Trust me him compared to Adams is a big difference

Literally never heard of this guy and he’s the best safety in the game making bullshit plays...
Ok

yezzir!
Does anyone know if they're going to drop a new card for his powerup?
hey mate.. not sure this helps but his powerup is already out. As for an upgrade I would doubt he'll go any higher. New Ed Reed 98 out tomorrow.
He is getting 99 ovr golden ticket
Maddddd
Didnt think he performed well enough in the nfl to get a 95 card but he is a sick user and makes plays every play

Seattle worked him out in 2019, and said no thanks lol
I have Ed reed and Mays. Reed at strong safety and Mays at free or other way around?
What’s his secondary positions
Cool to see

waaaaay taller tho which makes a huge difference

Why can I not put him at Free Safety with chemistries when he is literally listed as fs/ss
