It was never to make them more affordable. They still will be rare pulls, I bet same chances as a normal limited so you still will have to pay a premium
Thats because the greed of the community. These aren't as rare as you think. And not one single one of these players as a non LTD is worth these prices.
So why not continue to call them limited if it's, ya know, limited? Ohhhh. Probably the same reason they changed objectives to missions and solos to challenges, etc. So things wouldn't get redundant. Then they forget to focus on the game and allow someone to run literally every play and win a thousand dollars. That's pretty redundant.
