If you come out in cover 4 show 2 out of the 3-4 and I run an inside zone for 10 yards and you come back out with the same formation, I will do the same. That's the way the game works. 90% of the players on Madden run a 3-5 play scheme. If their scheme gets shut down, they usually quit. If I can find a fast way to shut down what you want to do, why wouldn't I? If I see you come out in an empty set, you can bet your ass I'm coming out in mid blitz and usering the WR that I think you are going to throw to, but you'll probably get sacked before you get a chance to throw the ball. I'm not gonna come out in a cover 4 and give you all day to throw only for you to not find anything open and scramble with Lamar for 40 yards. As Herm Edwards said, "You play to win the game!"
