I have pets myself and i love them as if they were a person. The question you asked varies depending on who you ask. You have the people that will say “ Well dogs never hurt anybody they’re the purest loving things on the planet “. Which is true, i’m fine with where you stand. I’m basing my answer off of the current society that we’re in and which is more of a necessity. In my eyes that’ll be humans. Now obviously if you’re going to say who would you rather choose a murderer or puppies then i’ll take the puppies as well because the murderer took away another humans life. With both things being equal and not going to the extreme on either end, i’ll take the human simply because well i’m a human and in our society a working human is worth more to me than your typical dog.
That’s a fair point. And I understand where you are coming from. My view is that no human is better than another human, much less a dog either. Dogs are truly loving animals, which makes them pure at heart. I think we can all agree that humans in general are just greedy, manipulative, and power hungry. Sure, humans provide more material things to society as a whole, but from an emotional standpoint, dogs provide way more and expect nothing in return. The two go hand in hand, which is why I said they are of equal value.
Yes from an emotional stand point i get what you’re saying because no matter what dogs will be by your send till the end. The phrase “ a dogs a mans best friend “ is 100% true. Things you get from a human you won’t get from a dog and what you get from a dog you won’t get from a human. Comes down to what that particular persons values more. It’s fine to have a disagreement on this sub without having to bite each other’s heads up.
I’m just trying to say they are equal. I never said I valued a dog’s life over a human’s (although I’m the wrong person to ask cause I treat my dog like he’s my son lmao). But in my opinion, I don’t think a human’ life is more important than a dog’s either. They hold the same value to me.
With everything being fair then yeah you can say they’re equal. We share similar qualities with our most important difference being we speak english/spanish/chinese etc and they speak dog lol. I guess you can’t say which is more important unless your given a situation which is the same thing with human vs human.
