PA slot crosses to WR2 only works against cover 2 and sometimes cover 4. When it works though its a huge gain (over 30 yards every time). I do this in live events to get the timing down perfectly. Its sometimes in a very tight window between the safeties, and it can be picked off by the safety "off the ball" if you time it wrong or your QB overthrows. I have Julio at WR2 now, and he's been a beast on this play.
If they're in cover 1 or cover 3 or man, then don't even think about throwing it to the WR2. Throw it to the slot or (against a weak opponent) the WR1 fly route.
