small sample size but of the ~20 people I know who played every year the past 4, only 1 is still playing. I held out as long as I could but couldn't take it any more, quit a week before MF and could not be happier. Reading threads here on MUTHead every once in a while reinforces my decision. Nothing has changed. I read here about some event that gave a (decent) free player or something, I logged in then to see what was up, couldn't figure it out, so I left again.
EA has vastly over-thought and over-complicated a game that used to be rather simple - it used to be this: play football. Grind for players or pay to get them faster/before everyone else. The players and teams kinda reflected what was going on with the real season (GameChangers, TOTW, .. who was it, Pro Football weekly?... had a player or two every week that did a great job, they'd be featured...?, RTTR...). Now it's a confusing mess that's completely disconnected from the sport, because the people running the app don't even watch football, and the programmers developing it (don't even talk about QA) don't understand it either. Popcorn, bats, beetles? What does that have anything to do with football?
