I haven’t had any issues. I only play to get to ultimate status though not top 100. So I don’t play every game on ultimate difficulty, only the ones against the lower OVR opponents.
I run mid blitz on defense. Use safety assigned to RB and either cover him on routes or rush QB if he’s blocking. I change coaching strategies to play ball, CB matchup=speed, and tackle-aggressive. I don’t use hit stick unless it’s a super clean shot. Just stick with conservative tackles.
On offense i use Vikings playbook alternating wildcat power, gun spread-inside zone (using a backup RB to give your starter rest) levels-sails (throwing to the RB), and occasionally PA crossers when I’m ahead and use the RB check down if the deep routes covered.
Using these methods it’s really been super easy to make ultimate status.
