Back to How can I get better at this game?

I'm maybe average. Some days, I play better and will make a run into All-Madden for a few seasons. Other times, I just lose patience and make dumb mistakes and drop to Pro. One thing is to play, and notice when you play somebody who makes you think, "Dang, this person is really good!" When you're on offense, watch which player they user and watch how they use them. What did they do they shut you down? How did they bait you into an INT? When you're on defense, what did they do on offense that beat you (was it playcalling, scrambling, adjustments, or even an in-play adjustment/rerouting)?

Compare what you saw to what was called. Those can often tell you about some coverage adjustments (for instance, did it look like they were supposed to be in curl zones, but were actually playing hard flats? Might have been an adjustment).

On offense, I used to just call plays, but I'm getting in the habit of considering route combinations. So, I may use a play 6 or 7 times, but I'm adjusting 1-2 routes per call so it's never the exact same, though, post play, it'll look like the same play call. It makes a real difference.
