Because some people have invested in Blanket Coverage and should get the same influx of cards. Not everyone is going to flood their team with Physical Front and Read & React like all the other copy and paste community members.
As a player who mixes in man to man defense along with having a really good pass rush because of the chemistry I'm happy to add Telvin and Berry pretty soon to my defense. It makes the game fair for everyone.
