People need to stop saying this. 120 raises the ceiling and changes the overall scale as a result. It's doesn't replace 99, it's added on top of it. Players now vary too much because the range of overall has been expanded by 21. The gap between players released 2 months apart is far more substantial now.
It's April and we currently don't have a 119 or 120 overall yet, and only 2 118s! Last season we had max overalls (99) since Feb (SB) and 98s since Dec (Xmas). It's stupid.
