Back to Smashmouth offense is garbage...

Quote from Samfromfrisco>> Nobody here has listed any specific reasons why they do, or do not, use a certain scheme. It would be a more helpful  conversation if people explained themselves, and we could learn something from each other. For example: I don’t use smashmouth or spread much, because the passing plays are less traditional than what I’m used to, and I’m not finding reliable routes to my TEs and WRs, whereas the run plays available in West Coast offense seem just as effective when I need to run. But- I know people who are using spread and SM with great success and I’m interested to know specifically what works well for them.

Good point.  I usually run spread captain with Nagy as coach for the running bonus.  So maybe it is hard for me going to smashmouth, maybe its just my team but there don't seem to be many "big plays."  Most of the passing plays don't seem to go for very much even when you connect (my 77 Alex Smith likes to overthrow a bit, I know I need an upgrade but times is tough in the bank virtual bank haha).  Also, I broke maybe 5 total long runs with this.  Again, maybe my team blocking stinks but I just think the plays seem to be geared more towards "short yardage" which obviously isn't good for this type of mode.
