After the first 15 wins, or whatever number is required if it's a special event, winning seems to be essentially useless. Yes, you will sometimes win just out of luck from trying to score, but the only factor that seems to determine current rank for tiered rewards (1-100, 101-1000, 1001-5000). It doesn't even seem to factor in to the current rank for players who have the same number of points. You might as well just take your time, choose safe plays, get your points, don't care if you lose on time or not, and call it a day.
I know EA wants to allow people who spend on the game to do well, cause currently having a ton of tickets will ensure that you get the desired rewards, but I just wish that there was more of an incentive for winning and actually consistently doing well at the game. Granted it's certainly possible that wins at least break ties in the final rankings and it's just not updated throughout the duration of the tournament, so I am admittedly ignorant of that. However, there seems to be no real benefit to winning your matchups and I feel winning should hold more weight than just a potential tiebreaker (if that's even the case) especially for players who do not spend money on this game.
