Back to Mel Blount

Exactly. I ain’t said he was the same or better than Night Train. I just said he’s a cheap/ Great Value version of him because tho he does lack the +1 or +2 speed difference and a couple of other things with the ability to get enforcer, he still gonna play similar because of the similar run defense combined with traits. I wouldn’t say Night Train is “much” better tho because I played with Night Train and he does not play at a distinguishing level. This card can hit the 97 AWR while Night Train is capped at 95 or 96. Also, he’s 6’3 so his tackle window will be larger than Night Train’s.

I play with NTL on a mostly Lions team and he's absolutely amazing. He causes a ton of fumbles and makes amazing plays on the ball. He's the best CB I've played with this year, and it's not even close.

If you have an all lions theme team, then yea he’s gonna play amazing because he hits top physical stats(speed, accel, agility, jump, etc) to allow him to play faster in his stats. But, everybody don’t do theme teams, better yet able to get 30-40 players to do an all theme team. I’m sure if you theme team Mel up, he’ll play amazing too because he actually hits the 97 AWR. Night Train plays good but not distinguishing as his stats give off.

Also every other person I've seen who uses NTL balls out with him. He's the best CB in the game, and it's not close. Theme team or not, he just balls out. It's like how Darius Slay cards will always play well, no matter what OVR they are.

I’m not saying he doesn’t play good. That’s not what my initial argument was. I was just saying that this is a cheaper route for anybody tweaking but can’t afford the Night Train card because of the similarities.

You can use the same PU pass on both of them though. And you can have multiple 95 passes and multiple 93-94 passes, so there's really no reason to take Blount over NTL.

It ain’t no better players in the game to use your 95 pass on but Blount. It’s a whole lotta 93-94s with good cards tho lol. So, if you want a better all around team or whatever, Blount is cheaper to go with which is why some people will choose Blount because he’s more accessible, adds value to your whole team/defense, and will play incredibly similar to Night Train.
