I've been hoping for that for a good long while now. Last year was bad, this year has been so much worse. I mean the market and prices stay a lot more stable but that's only because every card is rare when there's no gaming population.
They'd probably have better luck getting more PC players if their game wasn't a scam. Console scrubs are more likely to buy into the garbage, greedy tactics EA likes to employ.
I can definitely agree with you there. Although I play modern warfare with "console scrubs" every day, but they're my best friends. Haha. They just weren't wise enough to build their own PC like me 😎
You can build a very capable PC with 3-5x the performance of a console for right around 900 bucks or so these days. If you've never built one, then maybe don't comment about it when you have no idea what you're talking about 🤷♂️
Exactly, consoles are big cash boosts during their release year for companies. And even the upcoming next gens are still below a solid gaming cp. It's like comparing a really nice LG tv to a gaming monitor, still good but not in that league yet.
Okay, you have a fair point and I agree. However, the other thing PC players do is when playing FOSs like COD the complain about aim assist. If PC players wouldn't complain about console "scrubs" being good we get "help" then there would be no issue
Aim assist is not console scrubs being "good" though lol. The game literally aims for you because your input device is not good enough for aiming in shooters. Obviously pc games don't have aim assist because you'd never need it with a mouse and keyboard. It's more fun when the game requires you to actually use skill.
Let's do some math for fun to illustrate the difference in total price between a pc and console. I'm not going to include the price of a TV or monitor because most people already have a tv, and you can connect either a pc or a console to a tv. I built my computer in late 2013 around the time the new generation of consoles were launching. I spent about $800 when I built it, and in the years since I've spent about another $400 upgrading it. So in total I've spent about $1200 on my pc. Now let's take into account all the games I've bought. I have about 70 games in my library, so we'll say I buy about 10 new games a year. I can get any brand new game for around $50 on pc through a third party seller. Now most games I've bought have been games that were out for at least a few months, so they were on sale (multiple game platforms on pc have huge sales multiple times throughout the year). I'll be generous and say I usually spend around $40 on a game (my guess is the actual average is between $20 - $30, and I've never spent more than $10 on a game that's more than a year old). So in total over the last 7 years I've spent $1200 on my pc and $2,800 on games. My totally expenditure on pc to this point is $4000. Now let's do the same calculation for a console gamer. They have a $500 buy in at the time I purchased my pc. Now I'm going to assume a console gamer usually buys games close to full price because they don't have as many avenues to get discounts. I'll say the console gamer spends on average $50 per game. Now we can't forget the online subscription consoles require. $60 a year for 7 years. So the total a console gamer would spend in the same time frame is $500 (for console) + $3,500 (total price of games purchased) + $420 (7 years of online subscriptions) = $4,420. So in the long run it looks like console gamers spend just as much money on gaming if not more than pc gamers.
TIL $500 x 3 = $900. Go ahead and build a cheap computer for $500 then. It'll still have better performance than a console, and it will be able to do a lot more since it's a pc. Have fun paying for your online subscription. Meanwhile I'll stick with my pc and keep buying games at heavily discounted prices. I can't even remember the last time I paid a full $60 for a game. Ever have a craving to play old original xbox or playstation games? Too bad! You don't get full backwards compatibility. However with a pc I can get an emulator and play games from any old console. Also, do you know which platform has the most exclusive games? It's the pc by far. Anyone can develop and sell a game for pc without having to pay or get permission from Sony or Microsoft. On the pc you also get to choose your peripherals. Prefer mouse and keyboard? Great, you can use them! Prefer playstation, xbox, or third party controllers? Great, you can use any of those, too!
I could literally go on all day about all the ways pc is superior to console. There's literally nothing a console can do better than a pc.
Last I checked the Xbox One X is $500. I would bet dollars to donuts the new Xbox Series X will start out at at least 600. The xbox one s is a joke and shouldn't even be in this conversation. 500 times 3 is 1500. Pretty sure your math is very, very wrong. Plus on PC you don't have to pay a subscription just to use online services. And when you want to upgrade you don't have to buy an entirely different system. That's of course not to mention all of the different things a PC can do besides gaming. I'm sorry but it's 2020..if you still think console even holds a candle to a proper PC, you're an idiot.
Thousands for a gaming unit? Lol. Thanks for showing me you're uninformed. So your idea of earning things the right way is grinding through boring content to get rewards that other people can get instantly by paying? This is a video game we're talking about. Video games used to make everyone grind through fun content to get the best stuff. You couldn't bypass the work with mommy's credit card. If you wanted a cool skin or weapon you had to play the game like anyone else to unlock that kind of stuff. And the game had to be fun or people wouldn't play it. Now we have crap like Madden where the gameplay sucks and the developers' main goal is to get you to empty your pockets as often as possible.

We "console scrubs" aren't paying thousands for our gaming units. Also, we can earn things the right way just like anyone else.

that is still three times more than an xbox

"There's literally nothing a console can do better than a pc."
Except... (drumroll) ... ... ...attract a Madden user base large enough that PC users don't have to complain about the auction house!
