I hear you on this one. Transferring currency between apps and platforms doesn't make sense.
BUT
Unless MM21 is a 100% f2p game then there will be some purchasing in MM21. So you could create a credit system where (as an example) 5 MC = 5 <new currency or related>. Maybe it's not a 1:1 ratio but there will be a new currency of some kind in MM21 even if it's just field passes. If it is field passes and they're $10 / month, then if you have 100MC you should have 1 "free field pass credit" (as an example)
So while I hear you that MC might not transfer, there has to be a new currency of some kind in MM21. And there can be a transfer mechanism of some kind if the higher ups agree.
One last thing - I don't know how MC works but I'm guessing it's a liability on the financial statements for EA. This feels (to me) like a way to wipe liability and generate "new" revenue all in one fell swoop. Not cool for a corporation to do that in these days.
So if MC doesn't transfer can there be a comparative value system setup instead?
