For real though I check social media nonstop waiting to hear news on this cat.
I honestly thought Denver was going to land Stafford but that didn’t happen and since their offer for him was made public, now the cats out of the bag as far as the new GM wanting to upgrade from Lock... no telling what could happen in the next month or two.
Houston has to shit or get off the pot with this situation. The longer they wait, the more offers will start being pulled. Guys like Wentz and Darnold are going to get shipped out to teams that would otherwise be making this deal for Watson. Tick tock ⏰
I think the Texans are holding onto hope that they can keep him, but I don't see Watson letting that happen. I think the longer they wait, the less value he has. Teams will know the Texans have no choice and that brings the price down. If I was in charge of the Dolphins I would offer Xavien Howard, Tua and a second round pick and if they don't take it... officially announce they are not considering trading for him and move on because the longer this drags out the more this becomes a distraction to the teams involved. I have a feeling this is going to drag out all off-season.
The “trade” for him will surely include draft picks one way or another. They shouldn’t wait until even close to draft night to make this deal. For one it takes the spotlight off the rookies when the nights supposed to be about them, and secondly, what if everyone calls the Texans bluff? They try to hold out and get a kings ransom for him then it blows up in their faces. Too much to lose by waiting I think.
And as far as keeping him I don’t think it’s even an option at this point. We saw what happened with the Earl Thomas situation where he didn’t want to play for them, but they tried to make him play. He ended up flipping off the fans.. Now imagine that same situation but at the quarterback position. Total shitshow. He could take the first snap of the year and just hand it off to somebody on defense or something lol
Agreed... but I just read a couple seperate reports saying the Texans are not even considering offers for him. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns into a shit show like it did with Earl Thomas, Antonio Brown. Personally I don't agree with players getting away with this stuff, but they do. If a team drafts you and pays you 150million dollars and you refuse to play... you should have to forfeit your contract and not be allowed to sign a new one for at least a year. If you don't wanna committ to your team, don't sign a long term deal.

I agree but here’s what I don’t like about that:
