To be fair the lack of commas does make reading the number difficult.
Although anything 10mil+ just keep hitting those zeros as you can’t go into 100mil territory. For numbers 1mil-9,999,999 I always go with way too many zeros then delete last one.
Before I listed my auction two Mosses were on my auction block for 23 and 21 mill bids. They each had multiple bidders. I feel severely lowballed. The game took advantage of a mistake that shouldn't have caused me lose potential coinage.
I’ve made mistakes like that a ton over the years. It does hurt. EA makes a ton of errors and they should automaticity have commas when typing in bid price. That said, this a care of user error, not ea taking advantage of a mistake. It sucks. I know it.
I’ve done it more often than I’d like to admit because I was in a rush. If that you’re whole coin stack, I’d think one has to leave nothing to chance and triple check before posting. There are so many variables... the length of auction, the time of day you post and what was already bought.
Sounds like someone posted a Moss prior, the bot posted a second, and the people out wanting him battled for it. By the time you’re auction hit, especially if it was a 4 hour auction, the market wasn’t hungry. Some are saving for free agency promo. Many already have Moss. Many are eying new free agents.
It took a lot of mistakes and lost potential to really think ahead when posting. This isn’t on EA... for once they didn’t take advantage. It could’ve been a lot worse. The fluctuation in pricing between the same players are a constant ebb and flow.
I’m pointing this out so it doesn’t happen again to you. If you are posting a player to build your coin and help other parts of the team... take it slow. Eye the market and the times of other posts. Plan ahead. 25 mil bid means making sure the whole thing of filled as that’s the max amount of digits allowed.
That sucks for sure, but....how is that the game’s fault?
There are plenty of things to rail against with this game. But under listing your auction isn’t one of them.

Other EA games have them too, but Madden doesn't.
I do the same...fill her up and delete the last number just in case. Commas would be sensible.
