I’m fairly certain it’s where you slot them in your starting lineup, not their natural position. Putting Kam at CB5 and then subbing him in at SS1 might work. The extra position chem only means they keep their team chem when you slot them in that position in your lineup. Giving Kam CB as an alternate position just means he’ll keep his team when he slots at CB in your starting roster
