Worse start? Yes, in a work league, after 6 weeks, I had a friend that was 0-6, but led the league in scoring by 150 points. He literally lost every game by less than 5 points and it was always his opponents' best scoring game of the season.
Worse stretch in general? I can't remember the order, but had a friend lose three consecutive weeks to miss the playoffs on the following:
1) Stat correction that removed a fumble from their opponent, turning a win into a loss.
2) Their QB kneeled down 3 straight downs going from up 0.2 to losing by 0.1.
3) Losing the game on the final play as his QB threw a gaming winning TD pass to his opponent's wide receiver. WR gained more points than the QB on the play which was enough to make up the difference.
