Hail Mary is one of the very very few plays left in the game that makes you able to score against whales so I dont really get your point?!
The real problem in my opinion are the playbooks anyway. They removed so many good plays and added useless ones nobody would ever use. Now you have like 2-3 plays left with one beeing hail mary.

This right here there’s literally no good plays left besides Hail Mary. Every other passing play leads to an INT while the WR or TE run the route
