Gore has the misfortune of retiring at a point where there's already a backlog and it's only going to get longer. He never dominated nor won a Championship. He played 20 years to get to the numbers most got in 15 or less.
If there wasn't a backlog I think he'd get the 2028 2nd year induction. With the backlog he's probably waiting until someone in the '30s. I put him after Tillman and Hester. One created a move that is now being taught to everyone. The other altered games just by being on the field...you could argue they had to change the rules to contain him. Gore is more of a Zach Thomas type of candidate. Thomas will go in first and there might be a guy like Briggs who slides in before Gore too. Depending on when AP retires he's another one who could go in based on his dominant years with Minnesota and career stats.
