The app definitely helps those who have too much time on their hands. The way auctions extend everytime someone re-bids makes them so frustrating- just set a max value and have an auction end when it says its going to end. Besides, it really seems there are bots that make fun snipes nearly impossible now.
As to the point of the game being to play it on the console - an even bigger issue is that you have to use this site or similar to know half of a player's worth. There's no way for a console-only person to know the traits or effectively see anything other than the top 6 or whatever it is attributes.
