What I've come to learn about this company... is that if they have a financial motivation to do something that most would consider unethical... then ethics be dammed. Literally nothing would surprise me. Your personal story corroborates the shadiness that goes on within EA. Literally nothing would make me say... "clearly they would never do such a thing".
