Pete Carroll today said that Geno is actually following the plays as designed by the OC, which is why he's having a lot of success. He's utilizing TEs and and actually throws down the middle a lot more. We saw last (and this) season that Wilson was either too locked on or hung onto the ball too long when the team failed on offense. Some analyst went back through the Broncos' game and mentioned that Hackett actually called a good game but Wilson missed with throws and reads.
Wilson will improve this season, but I am not sure he's ever been the QB to carry an entire offense for the full season without a running game.
