Never too late. When madden started, the best cards were 87-89 and went for 300k+ someone could have dropped $500 and had a 89-90 overall team. Today, you can play solo challenges, comp pass with solo battles etc and you will get free 93-94-95 cards pretty easy.
You won’t be able to compete with top level players/teams unless madden decides to balance teams, but you will have an easy time putting together a 90 overall squad.
Keep in mind you can get 2x platinum quick sells every week for like $10 and you will be guaranteed like 20k coins at a minimum and up to like 300k
300k can probably help you build a 90 overall team, if not better.
