I’ve never liked that the ovr rating of the legend or UL is solely determined by when they happen to be released. Just because Champ Bailey is released first and Dick Lebeau is released later, Champ is a 91 and Lebeau is a 94??? I say have an ovr window for legends (90-95 is this year, I’d prefer 91-94, but whatever), and release the legend at the ovr that most reflects their skills. Lawrence Taylor and Deion should always be at the top ovr because they were the best at their position.
Who cares if you're releasing a 92 and a 93 legend the same week? I’d rather have the ratings and ovr actually correlate with their skills and impact on the game.
Just because it’s May doesn’t mean that every UL should be a stock 99ovr while Calvin Johnson, LT, NTL, etc are 98’s. We’ve got some borderline legends coming up that are going to have better ratings than these all time greats simply because some dude at EA thought they’d make more money if they were release in May instead of February. It makes no sense to me.
