I'm sick of this comment. Just an idiot. If you're good enough? Has nothing to do with that. PRO players are winning tournaments ONLY running the ball with zero pass plays, and EA forces you into a base D playcall. Here's a fact for you. If you are playing anyone worth a shit, you're not finishing in 3-4 hours. Good for you, you played shit players.
I agree the "if you're good enough" comment was out of line.
With that said....even a mediocre player can knock out quite a few wins in a short amount of time. It only takes one or two plays to figure out if it's going to be a quick game or not......If it's looking like it will be a long drawn out game...just quit and move on to the next game.
If you draw an easy opponent (or even if you get lucky a couple of plays in a row against a good opponent) you can end it in one drive. (3 20+ yards plays, 1 TD and 1 2 point conversion)
With that said....you're still looking at a few hours of grinding if you want to get 40-60 wins.
