I read 3.4% mortality rate, not sure where you're getting 1%. Thing is when something spreads so ridiculous fast, even if it has a low mortality rate a lot of people are still going to die. Not to mention the fact that older people/people with weaker lungs or immune system are much more susceptible to dying from it. Would you be calling it bullshit if you're 60 year old father caught it? I don't think so.
