I know those that have interacted with me on religious topics are going to find this hard to believe... but I was born into a religious family. My mom is a Sunday school teacher and my cousin is a pastor.
I would say I'm more spiritual than religious. I live in a rather small community and it's hard being in a building with that many hypocrites and still feel good about " religion". Going to church on Sunday and asking for forgiveness for sins you're just going to turn right back around and do, rinse and repeat really wasn't working for me. In today's world I wonder if people would call Jesus a libtard to his face or behind his back. Isn't that the whole premise of the bible... to love all others as you love yourself? Is feeding a hungry man, woman or child welfare or good will? Is allowing others to be as happy as you are a sin, or being humane?
I have to go with science in the end. Did a 600 year old man take a 100 years to build an ark big enough to house the literally millions of different plants and animals found on this great round earth, or did evolution happen? There's a species of frogs that are proven to adapt based on sex needs. You can put a whole bunch of females in one place... and low and behold you have babies.
