My understanding is EA puts price floors on cards to try to artificially keep their value where they want it. If you price too low it just will expire. The problem is when you have excess supply (like Davis for instance) the price goes down, but EA isn't letting it go down to meet demand. Thus they are mainly just sitting and expiring.
