Good. The Jets are a mockery, they're a bunch of raccoons in a big trenchcoat, and they deserve to be disrespected. What kind of franchise goes through what they do? They flat-out need to be more intelligent and tactful. When Jamal Adams says "I want to stay here" and they still shop him? That's treating a person as a commodity.
Imagine if you told your boss "I like this job a lot. I know things aren't great right now, but I want to help turn them around, and I really appreciate how well the team/community has embraced me." and then the office in Dallas calls your boss and says "listen, we like that kid, can we quite literally buy him off you?" And instead of understanding how important your current position is to you, and respecting that, he says "I'm listening..." and then turns around to say "you know what? We don't care if you stay here or not."
GT and I have debated about whether or not the Bengals did the right thing with their aging stars, but this is so different. Jamal Adams is a talented star in the making, and still very young, and he's verbally committing to doing the grunt work to help pull the Jets from mediocrity. Meanwhile, they punish Kelechi Osemele for getting surgery and preventing further damage by releasing him, and shopping their biggest FA pickup in years (Bell), and their most promising young player (Adams).
