Solo battles - scuse my rant
i feel you my dude. my 98 marcus peters keeps getting burned by the 70 overalls in the solo battles when they just run streaks. I know it isn't the same thing, but still. it's pretty darn near close. EA needs to do something.
Solo battles can be so dumb, i hate as soon as they touch the ball on a run sometimes the camera zooms back like they have already broken a long run

I have decided on a more conservative gameplan going forward and that means >90 solo battles I play one level down from all madden and all other games I play all madden. This gets me to 250k and the top reward tier which is all I care about. This past week even with 4 losses all to >90 teams I still finished with 210k... so had I scored at least 15k on each of my 4 losses I would still easily score 250k overall and easily win all 13 games.

Battle solos seem to have settled down for me., maybe i wasn't used to the gameplay change higher OVR teams seem to bring. Now EA presses me with disconnecting from their servers. I've already lost a game 0-0, kicked me right when I started. I still had internet. It was entirely the EA server that screwed me. It's been at least a week since that has happened, so I am not too upset, just disappointed in EA.
I just chew clock and gtfo especially when the cpu for those teams around 80ovr start getting ridiculously lucky. I feel u man
Saw a similar post today and it’s happening to 90-92 overall teams as well not just 95+ teams. People mentioned spamming Pat Sails to beat the cpu.

Dude, this happened to me as well. Each of the last three weeks I’ve lost at least one game due to some crazy CPU plays. Sony Michell killed my 97 D last week, breaking all sort of tackles. Vick despite everything makes unreal throws, my 98 over cbs get beat by 70-85 over wrs. Then when I’m up by 3-4 points with less than a minute running prevent D, they still manage a throw for 40 yards. Then a slow WR breaks tackles and out runs Deion and Reed. I noticed the CPU does a weird shake stutter motion and completely Jukes my players while I’m spamming strafe and strip buttons.
Also, cheese plays aren’t working for me. I would smoke DBs with Moss with PA crossers, block FB and stream Te. Now the cpu keeps up and often tips the ball for out of the blue and I get picked. I also lost today despite getting a turnover and I was running out the clock after going with a safe dive play and I get blown for a fumble and I’m out of time outs.
You have to cheese...Levels play has 3 open receivers at different times...5 wide 4 verticals with an underneath crosser always gets yards...Singleback 3 TE iso play works...I screamed till I figured out the cheese plays against cpu...Let cpu pick defense, this works more for me than not! You can only lose 2 out of 13 to still get Ultimate Level. Take a deep breath, stick to the cheese, or you WILL get burned!
Interesting, find some money plays! A classic computer beating play is the classic Tight end attack. Seattle's Four Vert in the Shotgun with three tight ends is a guaranteed solo challenge beater if you can garner at least one stop on defense.

Did this one on the 4th try and felt so damn lucky. Without fg block it was insanely hard. Also mid blitz rarely worked with them going to slants. I would user one but the other side would hit every time immediately
Dude just put in your subs and knock your overall back down to 92-93 and test your theory

That's EA just rubbing salt in the wounds. I swear some solo with 90+ ratings are like that even on the rookie difficulty. The solo battles and legend gauntlet games have triggered me so many times Haha. I have 98 Barry with max lions chems, zone run and he's only fumbled 2 times over 2 months. The times hes fumbled were not in head to head but rather a solo battles and my the final legend gauntlet on what could've been my game winning rush(I still haven't finished that last game). Just gotta take a breather for a night or two and get back into it. Gotta let EA's agro cool off for a sec😂
Has anyone else experienced a big jump in difficulty when upgrading team strength and playing solo battles?
i spent a lot of $$ upgrading my team and had I known the game would in effect penalize me I Would have never spent the $$.
i would far rather still be a 90-91-92 and go 13-0, than sit here at 96 ovr go 8-5 and get hardly no bonuses...
when i was 90-91-92 I could fairly easily beat 90/91 and even the occasional 92/93.
However, now that I’m 96 no matter how matter now hard I try to game it, running 3-4 during runs, dollar during passes, the pc just gets so dang lucky each time I play a >90 team... the only teams I can beat now are any advice here from people who have struggled as well with this would be appreciated.
this is so frustrating I’m almost to the point of trading away my team and playing a different game...
Felt the affect when I went for 94 OVR to 95 OVR. Solo Battles are more of a battle for some reason 🤔
So I have a 96ovr team with a 97 defense. I have now proceeded to lose 4 of the 9 solo battles so far, by far, my worst performance. When I had a 92 team I would usually easily go 13-0. Now that I have a 96 team I lose all the time and the PC makes ridiculous, throw-it-up completions, 9 yard runs when I have a stacked run blitz on me, etc.
Just lost 5 minutes ago to a 93 ovr 9-7. Was winning the game and had the CPU exhaust all timeouts and was running out the clock, under 2:00 left and inside the 25 of the CPU. Next play, HB dive 98 Gurley. Nobody near him. Run 5 yards and dive forward to end the play. Gurley Fumbles!!! PC then hits a 72 yard pass through 2 defenders arms to my 1 and scores on a rollout pass.
I think I'm losing my mind with this game. That's at least 3 out of the 4 games this week stolen from me by some miracle ridiculous play by the CPU. Lost yesterday when I had the CPU on his own 3 and I did a run blitz, and his 85 RB broke about 6 tackles inside the 10 and went 97 yards for a TD.
