RIP Mac MIller

Damn. Kid was too young. Don't do drugs, kids. Stay in school. Learn to value yourself.

Ariana Grande's only association here is that she is an ex-girlfriend of his.  She left him when he didn't improve on his addiction problem.

Can't blame her for that, even if it had a negative effect on him, probably further leading to more drug doing.

Sometimes some people can't be saved.  Pain is too deep. Addiction is too strong.

Sad.

Gotta say I loved "Swimming"... not sure of the circumstances outside of it being an OD but just wished people stopped combing through his lyrics... I know one line that I see getting tweeted nonstop is from "100 Grandkids" if I'm not mistaken where he says "Whats God without a little od" and people aren't even picking up that he immediately references the "G" in one of the next few lines, if not immediately.

I also loved the fact that he was never one to push his album back. People questioned him for releasing "Watching Movies..." the same day as Kanye's "Yeezus" and J. Cole's "Born Sinner" and this year people wondered why he dropped the same day as Travis Scott's "Astroworld" and YG's "Stay Dangerous"... I had to bring that up to people that don't understand how album releases work... Mac never feared competition... hence this quote after Kendrick Lamar's epic "Control" verse.

“If I can’t do no more nouns or verbs ima start comin with the wildest adjective bars that anyone has ever heard,”

Quote from TatermanWCheese >> Listening to his song Best Day Ever, post mortem... just gives you chills.

R.I.P., Mac.

Brother did the same thing. I recall that line about him growing old.  Definitely sad.

RIP.

Loved his music when he was coming up. That Donald Trump song was great.

I haven't listened to Mac or rap at all in more than 5 years, but me and all my friends loved the dude back in the 'Kool Aid and Frozen Pizza' days.

When I heard he died I went on youtube to listen to those old songs and found this NPR tiny desk concert from a month ago.

It's weird, I'm used to seeing bluegrass and folk singers on NPR tiny desk but not a rapper, and I've definitely never had a rap song move my emotions like this.

I won't lie to you guys these songs made me cry. Heavy stuff in his new lyrics.

Another great one gone wayyyy too soon. Been watching his career from the start. one of the more talented/versatile artists there was recently as far as rap/hip hop. 2 pittsburgh artists gone within months....  😥

A few years ago, Mac dropped a tribute song for a close friend of his. I hope he finds peace and can meet up with his friend.Thank you Mac, and RIP.

Rip Mac Miller.  I really can’t believe this.   Remember music, his label, pretty much says is all.  He leaves behind a wide, and vast range of musical talent, that he displayed time and time again.  Gone way too soon.

I didn't see this coming at all. Sucks to see another person dead because of overdose. R.I.P Mac
