So, it's somewhat tentative, as it's an agreement to initiate further talks to reach a more final agreement towards free trade...
But it did stop the tariff on autos from the EU, and also put a halt to all retaliatory tariffs between the two as well.
I'm thoroughly amazed (though maybe I shouldn't be) at how little attention this has gotten. Once again, REAL issues that affect us are not covered so the media can cover Stormy Daniels, Russia, Rosenstein, etc.
It's a positive step. Not a fan of the tariffs, but I can see the EU buckling down to be more fair and free with us thanks to the threat of the tariffs. Don't necessarily see the same happening with China, but seeing what can be done with the EU may be a precursor to see what can be done with China. One can only hope
Of course, this could be just further bluster just to make a certain someone pat himself on the back, and then never follow through with further talks.
