I recently have been having a newfound respect for Colin Kaepernick, and NFL players who took a knee during the anthem. While I disagreed with it at the time and would've seen it as disrespectful, I'm starting to see it as an expression of freedom of speech and a very peaceful protest, something that MLK would be proud of. I feel like whether or not we agree with Kaepernick's message, we should be able to agree that the way he did things was honestly very respectful, and I can at least admire that part of it.
