Where’s Avatar 2?

While reading all the records broken by Avengers: Endgame at school, I saw Avatar still held the highest grossing film of all time.

Now I’m wondering why they didn’t ever do a second. You’d think after all that profit there would be a follow up. I honestly enjoyed the movie when I was only 10. I think a sequel would be better than these live-action Disney movies and Star Wars Cash grabs out rn

Somebody gotta give Marvel a run for the money lol

I am glad he didn't rush to make a sequel.  I hope it is as good as the first one, if not better.

I am pretty sure that James Cameron had publicly came out claiming that he'd only make a sequel in the right situation. He's not chasing record sales or fame. He respects and appreciates the art of his movies and won't rush them simply to turn a profit. He had some choice words for these movies that are just cranking out annual releases at such a quick pace.
