Just put in my 2 weeks

Hey yo,  been a minute since I created a thread.  This is pretty big news for me since I have been with the company for 9 years.  Last week I was presented with an opportunity that I couldn't refuse, and this is going to be a good thing for my family 100%,  but I have to admit its also a little scary leaving a place that you have grown accustomed to and starting fresh regardless of the benefit.  Feel free to drop a line about any similar situations in employment changes you all have had.  I would be interested to hear!

I had a job once. Then I didn't. End of story. Lol.

I will smoke for you....

I don't think enough people are willing to take those chances. So props for doing it. Most people seem to choose familiarity & "the known" over trying to do what makes them happy or increases their quality of life. Hope everything goes great.

Before moving to the DFW metroplex, I was repping the 915( El Paso, TX) for my whole life and 7 years for the City Of El Paso and one spring my wife decides for a new chapter, new city. We started looking for jobs and by the summer they both had jobs in the heart of TX. ;) we were nervous as can be. Didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into. I literally stopped working on Friday to start a new job on Monday and a new city. I love challenges but the hardest was being away from the family for 2/3 months. Kids were still in school. My wife was able to transition the same in the summer. Flew to El Paso on a Friday to move our stuff across TX. -_-  No regrets brotha, we move forward not backwards. If you fall down get your butt back up and start again. I know you’ll do good. You’re a family man and a hard worker. You're a family first kind of guy that doesn’t let them down.

Thanks for all the well wishes fellas.  Was nice to hear some encouraging experiences as well.  Let's do this!  I feel like my house just went under contract and I have to wait 30 days for the closing lol.  Ready to get started!
