My Top 5 WR's of All Time

With the NFL 100 list continuing tomorrow with the WR's (yes I know we already know who made it, but still gonna be fun to watch) I decided I want to share my Top 5 WR of all time. And just a warning there is a bit of controversy with it, that I'll explain. I'm not here to change anyone's mind, and you can't change mine, just a fun list I thought I'd share with you all.

  1. Don Hutson
  2. Jerry Rice
  3. Randy Moss
  4. Terrell Owens 5. Larry Fitzgerald

I know, you're probably thinking I'm an idiot for not having Rice at 1, but to me when I look at the stats from that era Hutson was literally ahead of his time. When he retired in 1945 he had the most catches all-time with 488, (still ranks 167th all-time today), 7,991 yards (100th all-time today), while 2nd place had 190 and 3,309 respectively. But the one stat that really separated him from even receivers today is he has 99 career touchdown which still ranks 11th all-time today (2nd place had 37)! The fact he still ranks that high when playing in a run-heavy era is just crazy and with no active player having more than 75 he'll be there for a while. Is anyone going to break Rice's stats? Probably not, but if you were to ask me who I want as my true #1 receiver I want Hutson. The one article that can maybe give you a different look at Hutson's numbers.
