We ask that you do your part to ensure a positive environment for all by conducting yourself in a mature and respectful manner when posting in our forums.
The following guidelines should be used as a general set of rules for posting on Muthead. Please understand that any set of guidelines cannot possibly cover everything and that the moderators have full discretion when addressing behavior they feel is inappropriate. Participating in forum discussion is a privilege, not a right, and your access may be suspended or revoked at any time for reasons involving (but not necessarily limited to) the following guidelines:
EA Terms of Service Violations
This includes buying or selling (or discussing buying or selling) in-game content for cash (including XBL/PSN gift cards) and the trade of virtual codes anywhere on Muthead or using Muthead in any way to facilitate these transactions. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Receive a Terms of Service warning -Be given a possible suspension -Be permanently banned for multiple or extreme offenses
Racism and Hate Speech
This includes overt and subtle language or images that promote racism or hate speech in any form. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Receive a severe inappropriate content warning which includes a suspension -Be permanently banned for multiple or extreme offenses
Harassment
This includes overt and subtle language used to insult other members or moderators. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Receive a verbal warning -Receive an inappropriate content warning along with a possible suspension depending on severity
Spam
This includes creating posts that provide no value to the community, creating off-topic replies that derail a thread, posting in the wrong forum, and abusing the Muthead reports system with excessive or inaccurate reports. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Receive a verbal warning -Receive a spam warning along with a possible suspension depending on severity
Trolling
This includes creating posts for the sole purpose of causing unrest in the community or picking fights with other members. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Receive a verbal warning -Receive an inappropriate content warning along with a possible suspension depending on severity
Discussing Disciplinary Actions
This includes creating forum posts to discuss actions taken against yourself or other members by the moderators. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Receive a verbal warning -Be given an inappropriate content warning along with a possible suspension for multiple offenses
Obscene or Vulgar Content
This includes overt and subtle language or imagery deemed severely inappropriate by the moderation team. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Receive a severe inappropriate content warning and a suspension -Be permanently banned for extreme or multiple offenses
Impersonation
This includes impersonating another member of the community for scamming or any other purposes. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Be permanently banned
Distributing Personal Information
This includes posting any real-life information about other members. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Receive a severe inappropriate content warning and suspension -Be permanently banned for extreme or multiple offenses
Circumventing a Suspension or Ban
This includes posting from another account while your main account is suspended or banned. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Be permanently banned on the alternate account -Possibly receive a longer suspension on the main account -Receive a permanent ban on the main account for multiple offenses
Advertising/Posting Unauthorized Outside Links
Advertising of any kind and linking to outside sources for this purpose are not allowed for any reason unless you have received prior permission from the moderation team. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Receive a verbal warning -Receive an advertising warning along with a possible suspension/ban depending on severity
Creating Multiple Accounts
Each person is allowed one Muthead account. Creating alternate accounts for any reason is not allowed. If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may: -Be permanently banned on the alternate account -Possibly receive a suspension on the main account -Possibly receive a permanent ban on the main account
Political/Religious Threads
Because of the sensitive nature of political and religious threads, they are not allowed on Muthead. Any member who posts political or religious content may : -Receive a severe inappropriate content warning which includes a suspension -Be given a possible longer suspension -Be permanently banned for multiple or extreme offenses
In addition to the guidelines outlined above, if it is determined that a member is an overall detriment to the community, the account in question may be permanently banned at the community manager's discretion.
We want to keep our forum community as positive of an environment as possible for all of our members. Following our code of conduct is the best way to achieve this. Understand that there will be disagreements and that it is important to remain respectful and to never resort to personal attacks.
