Most important receiver position for RBK?

I am sure a lot of people know this already so before I scan all the plays I rather ask here:  Slot - WR1 - WR2, which position is most important for the running game when it comes to the RBK.  As there are very few WRs with good RBK and we have the option to place a TE in the slot I am curious about your guys opinions.

This. I run vert, usually with Garrett as coach. My top three running plays are HB Blast, HB Base and HB Plunge. Therefore, my slot blocking is crucial, WR1 of some importance and WR2 barely matters. But that would be completely different if I ran a different scheme.

I use the spread which uses most receivers but I find that my slot receiver is probably the most important or has the most opportunities to block

I'm a run-first guy and I would say slot as it is usually the position that's closest to the line of scrimmage. For chunk gains its important for the initial blocks to be effective.

I'm WC and run 95% of the time in LvL. I primarily run to the left but run to the right during HB Toss. I like to have good RBK at the slot for most of the left runs, reason being if he gets blown up I'm toast more often than not. If he blocks and the WR2 (or whichever is on the far left) doesn't then I still have a chance. While it's nice for the WR on the right to block during HB Toss, the pulling guard will be out there to help (or get in the way) if the WR sucks.

That said, just get the players you like. Not sure any of these stats actually matter that much

All of them?

I use WC and run all directions based on need and for this reason it’s hard to generalize the best spot. I plan on going to 2 TE when I finish Kelce to help out. I also use Suh as my fb still cause I need a good blocker on Garrett’s HB blast.

Back when I did play, I almost exclusively ran to the left (mostly because I wanted to have maximum field to throw to the right), so my best blocking WR went to WR2. But that doesn't necessarily make it the right setup for everyone else.

Start playing again Bouncer. Nothing has changed. It's mostly strategy mixed with random nerfs. We will take you in. Just get yourself ready for next season and ride the pine if you want.

I intentionally put all of my best run blockers on the left and predominantly run that direction

jazzy777

wr1 or wr2 depending what side you run to the most.

layd2rest

WC mostly. Always left or up the middle.  Throw to the right so I always have breathing room when I do pass.

Bwanafulana

I tend to run to the left so I try to keep my best run blockers there and roll out to the right with my QB and keep my best pass blockers there.
