Well this time around achievements is based off events only. Up to 100 tiers. You can build the crap out of the Retired HOF guys as you wish. Feels like the game gave me 2000 blitz tokens for free today. More than enough to complete 4 achievements a day. But if you want to play the events like 50+ times than yeah Overdrive is required.

it was 10 mil kickoff points for vick , not 1 mil . and both are about he same. and perhaps its easier to get 91 in HOF promo . but im not saying i will be going to get it .

If you think about it that 1,000,000 for Vick was actually easier because you got way more points for the KO players. I didn't even try that hard and I was getting 4,000 KO points per win.
Now you bust your butt and get 1,500 points for the 500,000 total needed. Looks like bad math to me. Half as many points needed for the Master version (500,000 instead of 1,000,000)...

I agree with OP. Seems like a nice compromise to make time invested in OD count toward promo progress.
Instead of for every OD win can we make it for every OD match played you get the default bonus and if you win you get the players bonus. It just does not seem right when we are forced to have a 50% win rate by default that we spend 800 matches/ 7-8hrs a day for 1 promo when that just is not realistic...
Edit: Playing overdrive is just not fun and they need to understand this. If you want the game to even last then do not force people to do something they do not want to do.
I used to never play H2H and didnt really care about the rewards and now I can not play the game without Overdrive or even progress in a **** promo because they do not even want to compensate you for playing a gamemode for 3 straight minutes...and if that is not bad enough DDA kicks in (stated not to be here, but most people will agree) and it feels like you will have to play more time at this than having a job that pays enough to maybe buy an overdrive bundle here or there (if you actually want to buy anything from the terrible bundles, or $100 packs that become useless during January).
