Exactly, how do you explain beating a team with an ovr +10 and loosing to teams with -10 ovr. OVR is 85% cosmetics. EA can't reward $$ spenders 100%, otherwise F2P players won't play and they won't have a game.

Interesting. It all seems to be cosmetic at this point. I get routinely matched up against 118 defenses with my 106 offense and sometimes I burn their corners and sometimes I throw a pick because the corner runs with me. It's just so random.
P.S. Has it been confirmed that training is gone next year? I mean that seems crazy to re-shape the format of this entire game after one year of testing the training module. I wouldn't complain, but then again this year is so much different than last so....

+1. All of the above has been pretty much known. A 99 everything card would be a 105 ovr. EA is fooling people with cards with high general stats and keeping defensive stats down. Kamara is an example with the 113-115 build. A base card with 120 everything would be a 125 ovr
Stats max out at 120 this season like they did at 99 last season, I doubt we want players with 200 zone or 200 hit power.
Yeah the numbers are capped at 120, but who knows whether they translate to anything in-game. And I've seen 120+ stats when scouting during gameplay; the coach boosts actually work!
It's just weird this year. EA's certainly moving on pace to hit base 120+ ovr players, which they kinda have to do to keep people playing considering our market is already flooded with 100 ovrs. But what the hell does 120 agi or 120 RBK even mean??? We're used to a 99-point scale. This year those huge stats mean nothing more than numbers to me. Yes, they are noticeable when you play 115+ defenses. But still. Arbitrarily large numbers.

Stat has 120 cap. Player overall on card has 120 cap display. But actually true overall goes above 120. This is why we see 122 defense. Just like last year, stat and display on card had 99 cap, but I had an 114 offense.

haha thank goodness no. I wanted to see what a fully trained TOTY team looked like, so I scouted through some of the top leagues and finally found 1, though I don't think he trained his special. It was 123 OVR, 124 OFF 122 DEF 110 Special. I'm guessing it would have been 124-125 OVR with special trained up fully
What if the big benefit for a 110 or 115 card is that you only have to spent 1/2, or 1/4th the amount of training to get a player to 120? Maybe that’s the benefit. So instead of 5-6 mill to go from 100-120, now it’s like 1.5. So that’s the reason/purpose/benefit for the higher overall cards.

Well, he thing is they are capped at 120, but gameplay stats are probably capped at 99. The point of new cards is that you can have a card that has 99+ everything. QBs, ermm.. kind easy to find that one, but OLB with 99 MAN and ZON, HTP STR, TKL, HTP, PLR, CAT! BCV! etc, those will be those fine-tuning points. I made posts about this back in PO saying that it's what makes the PO Bosses great, that you will have a 118 guy with 99 everything. They are end-game. I was all about the 99-everything thing.

take a look at the attached pics. The first photo is my Rhodes - untrained, on a basically all TOTY lineup (27/30). The pic pretty much indicates numerous stats between 125-135 once max trained - AGI is 113 + 19 = 132, Awr is 110 + 18 = 128, etc.
The 2nd pic is a fully trained rhodes on a lineup very similar to mine, with at least 26/30 TOTYs (can't check special teams, but it would appear he has some, as his special is nearly 110). note he has no stats over 120. what that would seem to indicate is a hard cap on stats at 120 (besides the whole 99 cap thing everyone is talking about, which is way harder to prove); and I doubt a player with exactly 120 everything is rated above 120; otherwise his Rhodes 20 levels higher than mine should be way more than +13 displayed OVR
