I realize many of us keep a large cache of gems and stamina on standby, but many do not. So, this is for them. If you find yourself thinking, "Man, I wish we could buy gems with coins, I have those, but gems are what I need." Well, there is a roundabout way you can. Actually, there are several. Alright, if you find yourself a few gems short and want to try your luck this first method is cheapest, but comes with some risk. Go to the Madden store to the page where you buy Pro Packs. Just to the left of the Pro Packs is the space where they sell Aces/Veterans/Royals badges. I'm sure that you and most everybody have seen these and wondered who the heck would buy these. Well, we are. You're allowed 5 purchases for 4,500 coins each. Each pack comes with 20 badges. So, for the paltry sum of 22,500 coins you get 100 badges (Veterans and Royals come in different amount of badges). Then, navigate to Core sets. Many of you probably realize where I'm going with this at this point. Go all the way down to the Recycle set. This is where you have to try your luck, but if you find yourself desperate enough, I'm sure you'll think it's worth it. So, for 22,500 coins you'll get 6 chances. Either you'll get 80 gems, 40 stamina or the whammy of 250 T.P. Also, there's the added bonus of an elite or diamond as a bonus every so often since they were juiced this earlier in the season. So, hopefully if you find yourself in a pinch, this may be your last result. There's another way to buy a few thousand gems and stamina with only coins but you need a million at least and is only for the truly desperate.
