This just happened to me and I was so confused. Madden crashed as usual and I thought oh well fired the app back up and went to finish off the chump I was stomping in h2h and FORFEIT????
No upset but just smiled and said, "Ah you got me again, EA."

You are entirely missing the point. I didn't force quit. The app crashed. Hence, they shouldn't have that "feature" until they can sort out app crashes from force quits.
