Does it matter if your Tackles and Guards are on the Left/Right?

So, my o-line is:

Taylor Lewan - LT Laken Tomlinson - LG Alex Mack - C Shaq Mason - RG Jack Conklin - RT

I recently moved them to their real-life (and madden) positions.  Madden Mobile doesn't distinguish the difference between LG or RG, but in Madden for console, they do.  I feel like my o-line plays better now.

Is it just in my head, or do the side in which you play them matter?

I run left and pass right generally so I have my better run blockers on the left and pass blockers on the right

As for running it's personal preference, your best run blocking linemen should be on whichever side you use the most. Also if possible your OT with the highest impact block should be on the left hand side to help with flipped toss conversions. The difference is also very noticeable if you don't have someone there with a good value in that stat, I would highly recommend it.

Good info here... I tend to forget which attributes work best in my o-line... good reminders here of what I need to work towards. Thanks guys!!

The problem with only having one OG that's truly athletic enough to pull is that different guards pull on different plays.  For all Counter plays and Cutback, the backside guards pulls, but it's the frontside guard for Toss and both Screen plays.  So unless you're going to flip (or leave unflipped) all of those plays such that your one fast OG is always on the correct side to be the one pulling, you really need to just use two athletic guards and just not have to think about any of that.

With OP's lineup, both Mason and Tomlinson are very fast and should have no trouble pulling.  I have the same pair, though I have them flipped so that Tomlinson is pulling on counter runs to the left.

This here. You'll want the OG with the highest SPD and ACC as your pulling guard I use flipped TE HB Counter and WK Double Counter fairly often , running to the left, so my RG is my pulling guard

So, being slow makes you a better pass blocker?

So, being slow makes you a better pass blocker? Does that mean have an o-line with 99 speed, acc, agi, str, rbk, pbk, imb is no good?  You want some slow ones too?  Conklin is slower and less agile than Lewan and seems to be better on the right side. I was looking at Lane Johnson to replace Conklin who is faster that him but also plays RT like Conklin.  I thought that maybe it was the RT/LT thing that might've made the difference, but you're saying that it's the slower speed?

This is the way I play it.

The only other thing I'd look at is their agility. Whichever of those two have the highest agility, should so the majority of your pulling. As far as tackles, I prefer to have my most athletic guy at RT. It doesn't "fix" the position, but certainly helps.

Yea, that's what I did before and put Lewan on the right, but Jack Conklin who has worse stats than Lewan has been better (only like 3 H2H games) but still noticeable.  I guess I need to test it out for a longer time.

I run both ways.  I almost always pass to the right.  Generally, I don't flip plays, maybe I should try.

Both of my guards are pretty fast.

Laken is only 95 (I'm upgrading him atm) and has 88 speed 96 acc. Shaq is 103 and has 90 speed 99 acc.

My tackles aren't too bad (but I might change Conklin)

Lewan is 103 : 86 speed 88 acceleration Conklin is 101 : 78 speed 87 acceleration

I used to have Lewan on the right, but I switched them based on this "natural position" theory, and Conklin despite being slower and pretty much worse stats has been better on the right (which is the more difficult DE side to handle).
