What to do with all these badges? (The change to the 85+ set is the worst part of this promo)
I guess the best option is gonna be just to build all the masters. Sell all pulls of any sort of value. Use profit to purchase any pieces that I need later in the promo. I already have enough badges to build all the masters and the banners for them.
Agreed. I heard on the reveal that you wanted to de-emphasize badges..:so now they’re just bench clutter?
It seems the only way to do anything with the badges is to have highlights. There is no badge—> 80 set, and you can’t do an 85 set without highlights. the only meaningful way to get highlights is by spamming events...which gives more badges that you can’t do anything with. Or buying packs, and if that’s by design then a big middle finger back to you EA.
Really feels like a set is missing somewhere - either 1-5 badges for an 80+, badges to highlights, or an 85 set with players and badges. C’mon Messina - give us something

If you were able to spam the events yesterday, shouldn't you have a lot of tokens to build these players with?
Events were glitched part of yesterday to give 80+ players instead of tokens, so might be short on tokens for now with an excess of 80+ that you don't have tokens to upgrade. Can always use the normal 7 80+ -> 85+ set in ToTD
I have enough to fill all the sets but now I don’t have coins to build any of them
I had 25 million coins. I went all in buying 85+ cards to do the 220 stamina exchange. I bought up enough that I blew about 5000 TOTD stamina today on all the events to see if I could make coin off of 95+ pulls, trade in sets, etc. (So far I've only pulled Baker once, but I've got about 100 more win packs still to open.) Wasn't a bad strategy when the events were rewarding an Elite every time, but now I've got way more badges than Ill ever need. At least with Offense and Defense, you could do the 85+ set without needing any tokens. But they changed that set, and added more player requirements to it.

Yes, you do need a bunch of badges for this promo, but there's not much to do with extras. You can turn 7 80s from the glitched packs into 85s and then use your badges to turn those into 90s to sell.
And the pity post becomes a humble brag...
Why would you buy 85+ though? That doesn’t sound like a good way to spend coins. 85+ have their floors set.
You've filled all the sets with Moments badges and have 100+ extra already? How on earth? It only started today!
Now that they changed the 85+ trade In set for this promo to cost tokens and 5 80+ players instead of 4 badges and only 3 80+ players like the previous 2 TOTD promos, I have a ridiculous surplus of badges from the events. I've filled all the sets and still have probably 100+ on my bench.
