Is anyone else trying to "take the month off" from promos and if so, what's your strategy?
i am more or less skipping this promo, yes.
i spent almost 20m coins and about 20k gems during MF. i didn’t buy the FP, but got literally everything else from the promo. SUPER fun.
i wanted a decent Lott, so i skipped the 91, because i was close to getting the 92. so, i built two S2 90 captains to get fuel, but i’m not spending anymore coins or gems. in the end, i plan to buy the 96 Lott when he eventually hits the market. he’ll cost less than 11M, and i’m banking on making many more coins than that over the month.
presently, i’m building 75+ and 80+ and selling. i’ve made a few million already.
Yeah that's what I'm doing right now. Between this month and last month it's been nice to see with that 75+ trade in set that you have at least a chance to pull 85+ cards from it. Right now you pretty much break even buying 75s and turning them into 80+ and selling, so it's like gambling for free. Pulled 2 85+ cards yesterday from that set in about 50 tries. Not too bad.
I only want to build these masters for Fuel as I am interested in all four 96's, but it appears skipping masters isn't an option since they are tied to fuel so I am not sure if I will be able to accumulate enough if I don't build them.
I'm guessing that the 4x 96s will require building most masters for the whole field pass, like the 94 Wisp guys. If that's the case, I feel like it will be better to just buy the 96s off the AH when available, rather than build a bunch of guys I don't want for double or triple their value.
You got a good point Jawa. I think I’m just gonna go with the flow and see how far I get. I do want to get the Russell Wilson cause Vick isn’t cutting it in QB play and Lamar 91 is probably just as bad
I can not play with Vick. I am just terrible with the lefty and Lamar is awful. Great point Jawa I may just buy who I want as well. Or, getting a 91, 92, 93, and 94 would suit me just fine as they all get replaced eventually.
I bought the field pass the last two months, and really went "All in" on Most Feared, built every master and used coins to build my team up. And I think it was worth it to do it that way.
Decided to skip the field pass this month, and just stock pile resources for the December promos, and maybe Black Friday if they do something "stand alone" for that apart from the Rtttp themed promos.
Black friday last year, and the Most Feared tournaments this year were my motivation to skip the field pass this time around. I have a feeling between BF and Tourneys at the end of November, it's better just to wait and buy what you want for cheaper at the end, than to spend all month building everything.
Any one else doing something similar? And if so what's you strategy with this new promo drop today? Are there any events worth doing (like first win rewards)? Or is it just as good to spend you promo stamina just auto-playing the PR events and selling the players from that?
