Did EA give up on the game already?
Last year EA added survival mid-season, and one year, they added draft tourneys. I hope they add something this year cuz right now it's pretty boring - LVL is completely dead this year and OD is only fun for two days until you hit HoF, then you're matched with top 200 2500 pwr players =/
They are giving up to fix any bugs in this game as long as those bugs do not hurt EA's pocket. We are going to keep playing the game with overthrown, high fumble rate, 70 speed CB catching 99 speed WR...etc None of them will be fixed.
You don't expect them to fix league hopping nor to kill cheating leagues. They are here to keep the top 100 rank busy. And I could even argue that without cheating/hopping leagues, a good league with just F2P can crack top 20. So, it makes it even less incentive to spend if you can reach good spot. Perhaps, cheating/hopping is a must to make it seems like the community is better than what it really is.
However, What they will do is to have more F2P mini-promos. This is the only way to keep us playing even in an expense of not making enough profit. And it has been said before that it is easier to create new promo than fixing a bug related to the game engine.
They are in salvage mode. They have to keep as many people as possible until MM20. And they will focus on making MM20 during off-season.

This game is as broke as ever I’m at 680 power and 5 overdrive games in a row I get put up against a 1700+ power team makes no sense at all and then I can literally do nothing on PA plays lb just insta sacks you on all run plays their DL moves and you tackled 3 yards behind line this game is trash just like madden 19

They gave up on the game last year when it was slightly better so I'd assume they're all but done with us this time.
Most likely. I do like this TOTY promo though. It's nice and easy and the rewards are good. It's sad that the year is barely 1/2 over and probably less than 10% of the players that started in August are still playing the game.
The off-season promos were pretty decent last season: draft, combine, kotb, quest for 3, summer blast, heroes, bosses, etc. You can currently build 2-3, 97 OVR players per week for free with TOTY. I wouldn’t stress too much about the content right now. I agree that OD, LvL, blitz tournaments, and weekly programs were a worse product this season than in previous years, and all need updates and bug fixes, but there is still plenty to take advantage of if you enjoy the team building aspects of the game.

The last few promos have been boring as hell. No sets to complete. Just endless grind for 1 player.
I was thinking the other day, last season I started H2H on day 3, and I'd be like 1.5m or lower in the leader board. This season on OD - I start on day 3 and I'm no lower than 0.3m
Why oh why do I have to be addicted to this game?
