Tl;dr:
Level the account, let players come to you
Warning, wall of text:
Great question! Since season 2 (s2) ends today I took it as a good opportunity to reflect on priorities. I am free-to-play/no money spent (F2P/NMS) because I like to observe the money grabbing/user experience tactics.
Below I go into Strategy, Stamina usage and Seasons/Promos. I hope you find something useful.
This year you have quite a bit of control of how to shape your team, but since the individual players you get now will be replaced many times over before Madden Mobile 22 ends it is important to not grow too attached to them at the early stages.
You will need to level up players by spending resources on them both to unlock more features (for instance quicker resource regeneration) and to get them into your starting lineup, the goal is to level the account as much as possible so you can level your future players as fast as possible.
Strategy
What kind of football do you like? I like defense and run game, so that shapes my priorities when looking for the types of players I pick when I have to (and you will have to too, players get thrown after you, build the account and let the players come to you!).
Defense > Offense = Special teams
This is my current strategy, yours might be different, mine might evolve.
I play 3-4 Drop Zone as my base defense, in ideal world I can get pressure on the QB with three dlinemen, but at the very least those three tie up the five olinemen of the offense, that way the defense is playing eight on six in the pass game (four LB + two S + two CB vs. five RB/WR/TE + QB)
Since I assume that most players are going to throw long and have a tendency to target the corners I try to decrease the area my CBs have to cover. Now the opposition has to fit the pass over my LBs and if they target the middle of the field I'll almost always have two players in the area.
The primary stat for each position group is then:
DT/DE: Size (to tie up olinemen and bat balls down (rare)) LB/MLB/S: Speed (to swarm to the ball) CB: Man coverage skills (to stick to those WRs)
Only sending three to rush the passer can leave their qb with a lot of time and with a big arm they might be able to target fast WRs running by the cbs, therefore I mix in 3-4 Will Sam Cover 3. This will put both LBs on the line of scrimmage and they will attack the outside of the tackles. If the opposition doesn't leave a RB in protection then you will have one on one matchups all across the line. The secondary stat for each position is:
DT/DE/LB: Block shedding (to beat their man in one-on-one and cut down the time for the qb, forcing a quicker throw and avoiding the deep ball over the top) MLB: Zone coverage skills (to cover a larger portion of the field) S/CB: Jump (to disrupt/knock down passes)
I also mix in blitzes on 2nd and long, 3rd and long and 4th and long, so the opposition won't know if I'm rushing 3 (base), 4 (3-4 Cover 4), 5 (variation), 6 (4-3 OLB Fire Man) or 7 (3-4 LB Dogs). I also like 3-4 SS Scrape to blitz the strong safety (Jamal Adams in my case).
Like I mentioned I like to run the ball, so primary stats on offense are
OL/TE/WR: Run Block RB: Speed QB: Throw accuracy
Secondary stats:
OL: Agility RB: Ball carrier vision TE/WR: Catch in traffic QB: Throw power

Stamina
Priority: Journey > Training Center > Tour
Since the goal is to level the account, focus stamina on your current Journey level. This will soon help you gain resources faster. If you are stuck at a point in the Journey, go to the Training Center and target the specific resources needed to proceed. Only level players which will help you clear further Journey stages.
First, do the event on the left, then the auto-repeatable event on the left.
If you still have spare Stamina, start using it on the rarest resource at the bottom, then work your way up, skip the Players. Rarer resources are harder to come by so it's a good idea to start stockpiling as soon as possible.
Put any Common players you get into the Players trade, play the long game for that 5star Woodson.
If you still have more Stamina after autoing everything (even Players!) go into Tour and grind away.
Seasons/Promos
Use event-specific stamina daily and save all resources untill the end of the event is drawing near. You will get alot of players during these, look for those that fit your scheme
Go for certain Uncommon items, rather than the chance of getting a Rare or Epic item.
Go for Epics that match your playstyle rather than Masters in the beginning to get a good foundation for your team. Epics can also be updated outside of the event.
Good luck, have fun and see you out there!
Let's goooooo, Season 3!

Play Journey, Tour, Battle of the East/west/north and south..Arena (1500-3000) weekly. Join a good helpful league that will teach you about the game.
Join the league I am in called sky, also make sure to do the daily training centers stuff each day and don't waste time on the tour, but do battles. Rn my team is 100 offense, 97 defense and 90 special teams I think. Glad to see you being a two way player like me!
I didn’t know u played, maybe I’ll play just to be in ur league as mut is moving to slow for me rn
I’m gonna start playing madden mobile, any tips?
