Anyone considering saving heat for Ironclad defense?
I am holding. I invested in Shaq Mason and Beachum and did the Red CC grind for Matthews. Feeling pretty good about my OLine. Bitonio would be a small upgrade for me, but he is probably going to get bumped for an Easter player with a boost in a short period of time.
On the defensive side of the ball, I have a lot of SB players. All of those boosts overlap, which is an issue when I start to dismantle it. If I can get 3 PPs and the defensive master, that would go a long way to a plug and swap strategy to replace the SB players.
I already bought enough discounted MC to finish the third 99 player. If HSD or Ferwarda give some indication that the currency is not the same, I can always work to grind out Bitonio (in one brutual night). But I think I am going all in on the 3 Def 99s and D master.
The problem with saving heat is that it makes an already rough grind that much worsererer.

I once watched "Unchained Heat" on USA Up All Night back in the day. It wasn't a very good movie.
EA using so many currencies has me concerned to even attempt that this season. They even used two complete different ones for st Patty’s day. given you only 1 day to complete the challenge to get the better player. I will just complete the 99 which I’m about 100 hammers from and do the rest I can. If stuff transfers to defense great but I would not hold my breath.
Interesting idea. I need Bitonio, but I'll stash the rest for a boost on the next round if they don't hose us over..
Im gonna spend it all. EA not gonna make it that easy for us to get 2 99 players without spending mc.
I am grinding the current promo and deciding on the 99 o lineman and saving the rest of the currency (hammers, etc) for the defense. might get burned... but also considered saving all the hammers, et al and starting the next promo with a manageable grind to the master (would have half the needed currency)
I guess it all depends on if getting a 99 and a 97 OL is worth it, or if just getting the 99 OL is what you need. Personally, I am going to get the 99 and save the fire for the off chance something is coming our way.

You dont know what the defense theme is if any. Even if they did release a defense, it doesnt have to be linemen. You could have "ballhawk defense - collect air to unlock x y and z currencies".
Why would EA allow you to game the system and pick up a master without spending?
Not me unless I get what I want to build and there's leftover. I'm close to another player so won't be much.
Ya I cant find the time to grind more than 1 player right now. But it's worth the risk

It would be risky. Would you have saved all of your heat if you knew it would rollover? Being able to make a run at completing all 3 defensive guys and getting the master by passing on the 1 99 and the 97 both for offense and defense. It’s all speculation but I hadn’t thought about it until today.
